Sioux by the river

I like indians. Brave nature people in a beautiful, wild environment. That, of course, is a romanticized image that came about from reading Silver Arrow and Winnetou comics all my childhood.
As a child I made my own Indian clothes, horse saddle, weapons... super fun!
I once painted myself in war colors with my mother's lipstick. She had to wash me really hard for a whole week to get it off. I was almost out of skin! That was less fun!

In Flanders everything is very flat and densely populated. But Wallonia, our French-speaking part of the country, is hilly and very wooded.
I made this drawing when we were on holiday there, in the Walloon Ardennes.

The nature there automatically reminds me of the exciting Indian stories from my childhood.
